Proofpath FAQ
Questions about organizing health notes, records, and proof trails so appointments feel a little less heavy.
Basics
What is Proofpath?+
Proofpath is a calm companion that helps you organize health notes, symptoms, medications, documents, and timelines into a clearer proof trail so you can prepare for appointments, conversations, and reviews.
Who is Proofpath for?+
People navigating ongoing health questions, families coordinating care, caregivers preparing for visits, and anyone who wants a quieter way to keep records together before a clinician or specialist meeting.
What problem does Proofpath solve?+
It helps with the messy middle between scattered notes, screenshots, and documents and being able to clearly explain what's been happening and what supports it.
Is Proofpath a clinic, lawyer, or insurance service?+
No. Proofpath helps organize your own notes. It is not medical, legal, insurance, or financial advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional.
Does Proofpath decide whether my account is correct?+
No. Proofpath helps organize what you have. Decisions about diagnosis, treatment, eligibility, or liability belong to qualified professionals.
Turn scattered notes into a clearer prep brief
Start organizing what's been happening, when it happened, and what supports it — in a structure you can review.

What can I add to Proofpath?+
Symptom and function notes, medications, appointment notes, uploaded documents (lab results, summaries, letters), photos of paperwork, and links — whatever helps you tell a clearer story.
Should I upload photos or PDFs?+
Either is fine. PDFs from your patient portal are usually clearest; phone photos of paper documents work when that's what you have. Try to capture the whole page and any dates visible.
Where do my records live?+
Inside your Records Vault, scoped to your account. Free accounts get a starter amount; Pro unlocks unlimited records and AI-assisted prep briefs.
Can I edit or delete what I add?+
Yes. You can update or remove anything you've added at any time, and export everything as a PDF before deletion if you want a copy.
Appointment Prep
What is an appointment prep brief?+
A short, structured summary of what's been happening, what you've tried, what you want to ask, and what supporting notes or documents back it up — ready to read or hand to a clinician.
Can I try a prep brief without an account?+
Yes. The Sample Prep Brief flow walks you through a short version so you can see the value before signing up.
How does AI brief generation work?+
On Pro, you can ask Proofpath to draft a brief from the notes, symptoms, and documents you've added. You review and edit before using it — you stay the decision-maker.
How should I use a brief during a visit?+
Read it before you go in, share the printed PDF or screen if that helps, and use it as a memory aid. It's a scaffold for the conversation, not a script.
Timelines & Claims
Why does a timeline matter?+
A clear timeline shows when symptoms changed, when treatments started, and how things connect — which is often easier to follow than a stack of notes.
How do I connect a note or document to what I'm trying to communicate?+
Add a short context line: what this is, when it happened, and why it matters. Proofpath helps surface that context in the prep brief.
Can Proofpath help me find gaps?+
Yes. As you build a brief, you'll see where dates, documents, or details are missing so you can fill them in before a visit.
What if my notes contradict each other?+
Keep both. Conflicts are useful information for a clinician. Proofpath shouldn't hide them.
See what supports the story and what's still missing
Proofpath helps you organize notes around dates, documents, and next steps.
Build a prep briefAI-Assisted Organization
Can AI help organize my notes?+
AI can sort, summarize, and structure what you've added. Treat the output as a draft you review, not a final answer.
Can AI make mistakes?+
Yes. AI can miss details, overstate certainty, or misread context. Always review summaries before sharing or relying on them, especially for health decisions.
Should AI have the final say on what's important?+
No. You and your clinicians decide what's important. AI is there to reduce busywork, not to judge your care.
Responsible Use
Is Proofpath medical advice?+
No. Proofpath helps you organize your own information. For diagnosis, treatment, medications, or urgent symptoms, contact a licensed clinician.
Is Proofpath legal or insurance advice?+
No. Proofpath is not a lawyer, advocate, or insurance service. For appeals, claims, or legal questions, work with a qualified professional.
What if I'm facing a deadline?+
Verify any medical, insurance, benefits, employment, or legal deadline with the official source or a qualified professional. Don't rely only on a summary.
What if it's an emergency?+
Proofpath is not for emergencies. If you or someone else may be in danger, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department.

Unlimited prep briefs, saved reports, AI-assisted brief generation, PDF export, and an expanded records vault.

Privacy
What information should I avoid entering?+
Avoid full Social Security numbers, full account or card numbers, passwords, and other secrets. Proofpath is for health context — sensitive identifiers don't need to live here.
Does Proofpath send my notes to analytics tools?+
No. Analytics receives only privacy-safe events like page views and CTA clicks, sanitized before sending. Your notes, symptoms, documents, and brief content are never sent to GA4 or Amplitude.
Can I delete my data?+
Yes. You can delete records and notes from the app, and you can request full account deletion via the Trust page or Contact form.
Is my data shared publicly?+
No. Nothing is public by default. Sharing only happens when you export a PDF or send it yourself.

Can I export a PDF?+
Yes, on Pro. You can export a prep brief or report as a PDF to bring to a visit, email to a family member, or save for your own records.
Can I prepare a handoff for a clinician or caregiver?+
Yes. A prep brief is designed to be a short, reviewable handoff. Read it before sharing and remove anything you don't want to include.
Does the export include a timeline?+
Yes — the brief includes a structured timeline of the events, symptoms, and notes you've added.
General Evidence Use
Proofpath is optimized for health and appointment prep today, but the underlying approach generalizes.
What is a proof trail?+
A proof trail is an organized path of evidence that connects a claim to the materials that support it — notes, dates, documents, links, and context.
Can I use Proofpath for non-health situations?+
You can keep general notes, dates, and uploaded documents, but the prompts, templates, and prep briefs are tuned for health and appointment workflows. If your situation is purely financial, legal, or dispute-related, a general-purpose tool may fit better today.
How should I think about source quality?+
Prefer primary sources (your own records, official documents, direct messages) over summaries. Label anything unverified so future-you knows it still needs review.
Pricing & Support
How long is the free trial?+
Seven days, on either plan. We'll send a gentle reminder before it ends so nothing surprises you.
When does my subscription end if I cancel?+
You cancel in one tap from Billing. Your access stays through the end of the period you've already paid for, then quietly stops.
Do you offer refunds?+
If something went wrong, write to us. We handle refund requests case-by-case within 14 days of a charge — kindly, and without forms.
Who owns my records?+
You do. Always. You can export everything as a PDF or delete it whenever you like.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?+
Yes — open Billing and choose Manage subscription. Changes apply at the next renewal and your records carry over.
Is this a medical or legal service?+
No. Proofpath is a calm companion for organizing your own notes and preparing for appointments. It isn't medical, legal, or insurance advice.
How do I get help?+
Use the Get Help link on this page or any page footer — it routes to our Contact form with a support intent so we can reply quickly.

Proofpath helps organize and summarize information. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, benefits, disability, housing, or insurance advice. It does not diagnose, verify medical accuracy, or replace a clinician, attorney, benefits worker, insurer, or qualified professional. Generated documents and summaries are starting points — review them with the appropriate qualified professional before relying on them.
